Twin axle boat trailer for small cruiser, motorboat. Yard or upgrade to road use

  

For sale is my twin axle boat trailer. This trailer measures approx 17' hitch to tail and 7'4 wide across the outside of the mudguards. The trailer frame is heavy duty box section steel and galvanised. The axles and hub units look as though they came off something else, possible caravan? And are a bit rusty.

The hitch is a basic 20cwt braked hitch. Comes with keel and hull rollers in decent enough condition. Great for a yard trailer as is or with light TLC and plating a road trailer.

This trailer came with one of my previous boats, a Buckingham 20 cruiser and happily brought it 125 miles home and then a 50 mile round trip to launch the boat. That cruiser design is quite a chunky canal boat so I imagine it would be quite happy with a small Shetland, Norman or similar on it.

Since then it has only been used a couple of times to move a dinghy and for the last 18 months hasn't left the garden. Tyres, brakes and bearings should be checked and serviced before towing any distance on road. I think one of the tyres has a slow puncture and all will need checking.

One of the hull rollers is loose, just needs a split pin. Trailer is located in north-east Manchester, M35. The item "Twin axle boat trailer for small cruiser, motorboat.
